All of us love to live long and remain young. One of the best ways to remain always young is to remain a student all through one’s life. The attitude of a student is always to learn something new and something innovative. The three essential habits for the same are:
- Reading: Read something new every day, sometimes a book, a novel, an article etc.
- Write: the second factor is to write something every day, some reflections about the day, or a comment on an incident that took place that day, something on the political scenario etc.
- By heart: another important factor in the life of a student is to keep the memory active and fresh, one of the best methods is to learn something by heart every day, maybe a sentence or a phone number etc.
Daily practice of these three without fail would form one a great student, now and always in life.
A story is told of a Guru, who took time to advise the child of a devotee to stop eating sweets, enquiring why, he said ‘when you brought your child to me I had the habit of eating lots of sweets, then how can I tell him not to eat.’
It is only in the integrity of words and action one can practise the authority. As often children say to the parents, ‘let us follow your examples rather than your words and advises.’
How will you define a leader?
In the light of things that happened today, especially during the mansoon matches @KJC (deatils will come soon) I feel like defining a leader as:
A person who has a vision for the people who are under his care and who is able to transform this vision into a mission through various activities.
May be better framed in negation, leader is a person who is not willing to act to make happy the majority/minority of the members of the group though knowing their demands are wrong and not worth of fighting for.
Pray that may our political, social and religious leaders may understand this great truth…
Punch: Justification can’t transform evil into good…
It is a belief that even the most difficult moments of my life is known to God and He has arranged it for my goodness.
In the movie ‘Take off” Sameera, the main character says something to this sense;
‘I lived my life always in fear… younger days fear of the father, then of the husband and now of the child.’
Is it a tragedy everyone especially the women in our society has to face?
The people who share are those who don’t have much to keep aside…
Often the feeling that takes me over these days of lent can better expressed in the words of St. Paul.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. (Rom. 7: 15) (NIV)
Lord Help me find Meaning in what I do!
Let me ask you…
Do You Pray? and What do you pray for?
Prayer is often understood as a presentation of list of requirements and things required to God.
So the question, When do pray is also quite relevant?
Often we pray when we are in trouble and when we have issues which we feel can’t be managed by us alone…
Said all these… I feel
Prayer is just any of above said rather…
Prayer is a request made to God for a state of mind to accept His will in our life…whatever it may be…
It made a difference in my life…try it out
When there are children in so many parts of the world who have nothing to eat, that is not news, it seems just normal. When some homeless people freeze to death or starve on the street doesn’t make news. These things become normal.
On the contrary, when the stock market drops ten points in some cities, it constitutes a tragedy. It becomes a news.
Someone who dies is not news, but lowering income by ten points is a tragedy. (Pope Francis, The Church of Mercy)
Where are we heading too?
The giant in front of you is never bigger than the God who lives IN YOU….

Book’s Summary:
My Views: Margaret Mitchell in the famous book ‘Gone with the Wind’ explores the struggles that Scarlett had to go through to keep her family alive during the American Civil War. The higher value of life is stresses all through the story. The author has succeeded in keeping the value of life rather than anything in situations such as war internal struggles in the country. Books communicates to the readers about life and its daily struggles.
O Lord, how much more I need to forgive my brothers and sisters, considering the number of times I repeat the same sins in my confessions.
Its more than a month that I am in K JC. I am enjoying my life here.
Being here I feel the most often quoted word in the house is ‘tradition and tradition’. Whenever I hear this word the image that comes to my mind is of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, who attempts to maintain his Jewish religious and cultural traditions.
However, in the beginning of the movie he makes this statement ‘Traditions, I will tell you how all that got started…., but I don’t know.’
Hopefully its communicating enough
Every action can be interpreted by different people differently. Often the person is moved by his experience of the past, so to say our judgements are the revealing of the self. Look at the judgements one make and we can what he/she is…
When faced with real life situations the attitude towards life, people and things around us will change.
