People do expect!

Have you ever thought why when a priest or a religious makes a mistake it carries a lot of discussion and news value?

I, a religious personally think it is not because of a negative attitude towards us rather they (people) expected something better and of higher value from us, and we have failed to grow up to the expectation. In some instances we have behaved worse, that it can never be justified.

The ‘Yes’ that changed the world

It is quite interesting to reflect over the ‘yes’ that Mary said at the moment of Annunciation to the will of God, did she ever understood it at that moment we do not know. However, we know that the ‘yes’ which she said changed her course of life and that of the entire world. It is also quite true that the ‘yes’ which she said just did not intend an ‘yes’ alone rather it meant more ‘nos’ in her life, to be in accordance with the ‘yes’.

To be something or with someone would mean not to be with many other things or with many other people

Conviction

When one acts according to convince one has no right to speak about the conviction…

Convictions can often demand much from our lives, often we may be the odd one out because of our conviction. Yet you need to hold on to it because it is your faith that you are right.

Prayer

What is prayer? It is an age old question that many sipitual gurus have tried explaining to us, after all what is prayer. Yet there is no one understanding of it.

Fr PI Thomas during the mass explained prayer as ‘resting in God‘ and I found it very meaningful this explanation.

Even if we don’t understand it, I should say prayer must resting in God, for rest is not a luxury, rather a necessity of every human being…we feel refreshed after the rest, energetic for another day of activities, prayer should lead us to the same experience.

Resting in God, we must be made strong for doing good.

Leader…

How will you define a leader?

In the light of things that happened today, especially during the mansoon matches @KJC (deatils will come soon) I feel like defining a leader as:

A person who has a vision for the people who are under his care and who is able to transform this vision into a mission through various activities.

May be better framed in negation, leader is a person who is not willing to act to make happy the majority/minority of the members of the group though knowing their demands are wrong and not worth of fighting for.

Pray that may our political, social and religious leaders may understand this great truth…

Punch: Justification can’t transform evil into good…

How do we Select People?

It’s interesting to reflect, how do we select people to work with us. I am sure we will always look for the best and the most talented, and we will be extra careful if they had to carry that mission forward..

Yet, I was facinted by the way Jesus selected his disciples, knowing that they have to carry this mission to the ends of the Earth. He never looked for the best and most talented, rather he called the ordinary men who was engaged in the daily chores of life and made them extra ordinary to carry his message…

Thinking on…. I think I know why I am here…. THANK YOU LORD

Will of God

The incident was shared during the monthly recollection today

Once in a religious congratulations, the superior called onebof the members to inform about his new assignment, reading the appointment letter he was very sad and disturbed for it  was to a remote village which was really poor. The member showed his discontent with regard to the appointment asked the superior to reconsider appointment. Though superior explained the spirit of the congregation and the need of the time he was not satisfied, he tried to use all his influence to change the appointment. After few weeks the superior called him again and given him a new appointment, reading the paper he was very happy, the appointment was to be the principal of a leading college in Delhi; a very influencial post, after a few moments of silence he said, “if it is the will of God I accept it.”
